The Green Bay Blizzard are proud to announce Art Clarkson as the new Chief Operating Officer.

Clarkson originally from Los Angeles, CA., has a long and impressive resume as an executive in professional sports, with significant professional achievements in baseball, hockey, arena and indoor football.

After a college football career that saw him win four letters at Los Angeles City College and Cal State-Northridge, Clarkson played one season in the Continental Football League.

As the Principal Owner and General Manager of the Class-AA Birmingham Barons baseball club from 1980-1990, Clarkson was named the Southern League's Executive of the Year four times, as well as being named the Class-AA Baseball Executive of the Year by The Sporting News in 1982 and winning the Larry MacPhail Trophy, a national honor given to the top promoter in Minor League Baseball.

Following his tenure with the Barons, Clarkson entered the arena of professional hockey, where as the majority owner and General Manager of the ECHL's Birmingham Bulls, his club drew three of the ten largest crowds in league history.
Clarkson also served as Chairman of the ECHL's Expansion Committee from 1992-95 and was Vice Chairman of the ECHL's Executive Board from 1996-98.

Clarkson was the majority owner and Chief Operating Officer of the Tennessee Valley Vipers of arenafootball2, where he was named Executive of the Year in 2001-02 and the team averaged an 86%-of-capacity home attendance at the Werner Von Braun Center in Huntsville, AL.
