Brandon Henderson, a defensive end who played two years at NCAA Division I school East Carolina University, has signed with the Green Bay Blizzard.
Henderson’s football journey is an interesting one and reflects his love for the game, work ethic, resilience, and determination. The 6’5”, 275-pound native of South Carolina had just one offer coming out of high school and was cut twice by Northeast Mississippi Community College. Instead of giving up the game, Henderson went to Georgia Military College, and in his second year there, had 32 tackles including 12 stops for loss and two sacks.
Following that stellar season, Henderson got looks from dozens of NCAA Division I schools, including Alabama, before settling on East Carolina.
Brandon spent last season with the New York Streets of the National Arena League.
“We think Brandon is a player whose best football is still ahead of him,” said Roberson. “He’s a late bloomer who keeps growing into his body. He obviously loves the game, and works hard to keep meeting his goals.”
