Green Bay, WI (Thursday March 29th) – The Green Bay Blizzard parted ways with head coach Chris Williams. Chris Williams started coaching the Blizzard in 2016 and the 2018 season marked his 3rd year as the Blizzard head coach.
“Chris was instrumental in restructuring our football program and in re-defining how we treat
and develop these young players,” – Owner Kathy Treankler, Green Bay Blizzard. Chris made
his mark by helping numerous Blizzard Players receive workouts with NFL and CFL Teams.
The Blizzard look to turn the season around coming out of the bye week with 10 games
remaining in the 2018 season. Interim Head Coach – Corey Roberson will take the reins for the
remainder of the season.
Corey played nine seasons of indoor football as a defensive back. His stops included Rapid City,
Billings, Wyoming and wrapping up in 2010 with the Green Bay Blizzard. After playing, Corey
spent the next three seasons as a special teams and skills position coach then took over the
defensive coordinator duties in 2014. From 2014 to present, Corey has continued to assist with
special teams and defense under head coach Chris Williams.
The next Blizzard home game is April 15th, 2018 vs. the Cedar Rapids Titans.
