After leading the Green Bay Blizzard to playoffs for the first time in seven years, Corey Roberson has been named IFL Head Coach of the Year.
In his first season as full-time head coach of the Blizzard, Roberson turned around a team that had won a combined five games over the last two years and guided them to a 9-5 record in 2019. Roberson’s guidance helped the Blizzard earn the #4 seed in the playoffs and a playoff home game.
A former IFL player and defensive coordinator, Roberson orchestrated the Blizzard defense that ranked second in the IFL in points allowed (37.2). Under Roberson’s tutelage, DB Bakari Triggs was named IFL Defensive Rookie of the Year. Additionally, Triggs and DL Silverberry Mouhon were named First Team All-IFL selections while OL Vincent Calhoun was named a Second Team selection.
