GREEN BAY - The Green Bay Blizzard re-sign
Momodou Mbye (DB) out of the University of Rhode Island and sign
Dez Stewart (WR) out of Ohio Dominican University.
The Green Bay Blizzard have announced the re-signing of defensive back Momodou Mbye. A Pawtucket, Rhode Island native, Mbye played collegiately at the University of Rhode Island where he was a captain and four-year starter for the Rams. As a member of the Blizzard in 2021, Mbye recorded 83 tackles, five interceptions, and one fumble recovery, earning 2nd team all-IFL and all-Rookie team honors.
The Green Bay Blizzard have signed wide receiver Dez Stewart. A Cincinnati native, Stewart played collegiately at Ohio Dominican University and earned numerous first and second team awards during his time as a Panther. As a senior, he set a new ODU record for all-time receiving yards. Stewart spent time in the NFL with Tampa Bay, Washington, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, and Detroit, as well as with the AFL's Albany Empire.
