Green Bay is coming off of a 38-31 overtime victory over the defending IFL champion Pirates last week, where their offense saw an influx of production in the second half. In the win, quarterback Jack Sheehan threw for 167 yards on 17/30 passing, with two touchdowns and one interception. He also ran for three touchdowns, including the game-winning score. Wide receiver Dez Stewart had eight receptions for 112 yards and one touchdown, which was the Hail Mary reception that sent the game to overtime. Stewart along with his wide receiver counterpart Keshaun Taylor are both in the top ten in receiving in the IFL. Linebacker James Brown is also tops in the league in tackles with 38 through just four games played, averaging 8.8 tackles per game. He also leads the league in tackles for loss with eight.

For Vegas, they are currently 2-3 on a two game skid, most recently losing to the NAZ Wranglers 30-20. Wide receiver Jordan McCray hauled in four passes for 45 yards and a touchdown in the loss. Vegas also has a top ten receiver in Frank Brown, who spent time with the Blizzard in 2020 camp before being called to the XFL. Another Knight Hawk with Wisconsin ties is quarterback Karé Lyles, who was born in Madison and played at the University of Wisconsin for two years before transferring to Southern Illinois, and later to Jackson State. He came into the contest last week and finished with 42 passing yards on 3 for 8 passing, with one touchdown and one interception. Defensively for Vegas, defensive end Kai Higgins is second in the IFL in tackles for loss with 6.5.

This will be the first time that the Blizzard and Knight Hawks face off in league history, as Vegas is in their inaugural season in the IFL. Both teams will hit the road next week as the Blizzard will travel to Moline, IL, to take on the Quad City Steamwheelers and the Knight Hawks will travel out east to Worcester, MA, face off with the Massachusetts Pirates.
