2023 Green Bay Blizzard Franchise of the Year!

It takes a village to successfully run the Green Bay Blizzard organization – from owners, front office staff, football operations, interns, game day staff, partners, community, and so many more.

The Blizzard's 20th season was one to remember.

Fans packed the Resch Center all year long, recording the first sell-out crowd in franchise history. Fans were treated to fun theme nights at every game, thanks to the generosity of many partners.

The team took part in 65 total community appearances throughout the season, cultivating lasting relationships with the people of Green Bay and continuing to emphasize a commitment to the community.

The organization's brand continues to grow through social media and strong public relations.

"We are honored to receive this award and be recognized for who we are as an organization," said Blizzard Owner Kathy Treankler. "This proves it is not just about what is done on the field...behind the scenes off the field are equally as important"

Franchise of the Year
"This award is given to the best overall team during the 2023 season. Factors to consider are attendance, sales, public relations, marketing, efforts to improve the IFL as a whole, performance on the field, community involvement, participation on league matters, and overall representation of the IFL."

2023 Green Bay Blizzard Community Relations of the Year

The Green Bay Blizzard took part in 65 total community appearances throughout the 2023 season. This included visiting schools, youth football clinics, assisted living homes, and other various community events. The team enjoyed spending time with a diverse group of people that makes up the Green Bay community.

"Though players only get to spend a short time with community members, they make a huge impact," said Blizzard Community Relations Manager Selena Cashman. "Watching their faces light up when the Blizzard players walk into a room is such a heartwarming experience! Partners we work with have all welcomed the Blizzard players back with open arms!"

Community Relations
"This award is given to the team that exemplified outstanding service and dedication to their surrounding community."

2023 John Pettit person of the Year - Blizzard Owner Kathy Treankler

As ½ of the team's ownership, Kathy's work to make Blizzard football run successfully cannot be understated. Kathy works tirelessly to provide affordable, family fun to the Green Bay community, to keep the IFL the premier indoor league across the United States, and to make the "Blizzard experience" more than just football.

"This award carries a lot of weight for me," said Blizzard Owner Kathy Treankler. "Not only is it named after someone I truly admired and respected, it represents the true 'work' that goes on behind the scenes. There is so much more to the IFL than what happens on the field! I am humbled to be chosen for this award and honored that my peers feel I earned it."
