The Green Bay Blizzard have officially announced the signing of Kicker Andrew Mevis for the 2024 season. He is a midseason addition to the team. Mevis is an IFL rookie, making his debut April 19 vs the Sioux Falls Storm.

Mevis (5'11", 205) played college football for Fordham University from 2017-2020 and then for Iowa State in 2021. During his time at Iowa State, he kicked 20-23 on all field goals, 10-13 on field goals from 40 yards or further, and he did not miss an extra point attempt. His play earned him various awards including the Lou Groza Award Semifinalist in 2021. 

Although Mevis went undrafted in the NFL draft, he did try out with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He would go on to spend time with the St. Louis Battlehawks of the UFL as well.
