Biography

Tyrell Thompson is entering his second season with the Blizzard. Originally from Copperas Cove, Texas, Thompson was a member of the All-LSC First Team and a Don Hansen Honorable Mention All-American during his time at Tarleton State University. He signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Los Angeles Rams in 2019 and spent time with the XFL’s Dallas Renegades and IFL’s Frisco Fighters before being traded to Green Bay at the start of the 2022 season. A dual-threat who played on both the Blizzard’s offensive and defensive lines last year, Thompson appeared in 13 games at left/right guard and recorded 9.5 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, one sack, and one pass break-up.
